BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — A Bath man was arrested in September after police said he intentionally placed a burning cigar into the money chute at a Steuben County bank and sent it to an employee inside.

Jacob R. Fronk, 33, of Bath was arrested on Monday, Sept. 15, on the charges of assault in the third degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree, both class A misdemeanors, as stated in a release from the Village of Bath Police Department.

On Monday, officers were sent to the Chemung Canal Trust Bank, on West Morris Street in the Village of Bath for the report of an employee who had inhaled smoke from the drive through money tube.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers learned that a man, later identified as Fronk, had intentionally placed a lit cigar in the bank's transaction tube, and
