Ottawa [Canada], October 22 (ANI): Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney confirmed he would uphold former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's decision to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should he enter Canada, in line with the International Criminal Court arrest warrant.

Carney made the remarks during an interview with Bloomberg on Sunday. When asked directly if he would be ready to arrest Netanyahu, he responded, "Yes."

On Canada's approach to Palestinian statehood, he stated, "The end goal is a free and viable Palestinian state living side by side in peace and security with the State of Israel." He criticised the Netanyahu administration, adding, "We saw that the actions of the Netanyahu government were explicitly designed to end any possibility of a State of Palestine
