There are times when a person's mind may not feel as sharp as normal. And no, they or yourself are not crazy.

Brain fog is described as several symptoms that make it more difficult to think, focus, remember things or even do simple, everyday tasks. People of ten describe their thinking process as being "foggy" or mentally slow.

Dr. Abinash Achrekar, KOAT and University of New Mexico health expert, said there are many possible causes and provided reasoning behind what can lead to this happening.

"Lack of sleep, stress, poor diet, or certain medications can all play a role," Achrekar said. "It can also happen with medical conditions like diabetes, depression, or after illnesses like COVID-19."
