CHICAGO, Ill. (KWQC) - A federal judge’s order blocking the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Chicago will remain in place indefinitely, setting up a possible trial when the U.S. Supreme Court weighs in on the case.
The administration has been barred from deploying guardsmen in Illinois since U.S. District Judge April Perry’s temporary restraining order Oct. 9. But that 14-day order was set to expire Thursday evening.
