BATTLEFIELD, Mo. (KY3) — Battlefield Police Chief Chris McPhail was sworn in as interim city administrator, replacing Tommy Vanhorn in the temporary role.

McPhail took the oath during a city council meeting on Tuesday night. Vanhorn’s last day as administrator is Nov. 10.

Lt. Brent Armstrong will serve as interim police chief while McPhail handles administrative duties.

The town council hopes to find a permanent city administrator by the beginning of 2026.
