WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Records from Sedgwick County District Court confirm that a woman who was behind the wheel of a vehicle that hit and killed a teen in May of 2024 near 55th Street South and Hoover , pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Trisha Greer’s vehicle hit 18-year-old Bethany Leggio and several other vehicles near the intersection just southwest of Wichita.

Leading up to the deadly collision, the sheriff’s office said Leggio was among a group of people near 55th Street South and Hoover late on the night of May 14, 2024, gathered to remember a 16-year-old boy who’d died the previous night in a street racing crash in the same area .
