BECKER, Minn. — The Becker community is voicing its frustrations after the United States Postal Service announced that retail and delivery operations will move to Monticello.

In August, the USPS announced the relocation of its delivery operations.

"Mail delivery to all curbside residential and business addresses will continue without interruption, and PO Box customers will still collect their mail at the Becker location," the August press release said.

But this Friday, residents will no longer have access to the Becker location. The owner of the building, who leases it to the USPS, told the Postal Service that he wouldn't renew the lease.

Becker Mayor Mark Kolbinger says the owner told the USPS that in 2022. The lease expires October 31, 2025.
