An Arcadia man who works as a tutor was arrested Tuesday night, Oct. 21, on suspicion of inappropriately touching a teenage girl at his home the day before.

The suspect, 57-year-old Tsungyu Chien, also allegedly sent text messages to the girl afterward and was caught by detectives parked in front of the victim’s home, police said.

Police didn’t release the age of the victim.

Lt. Kollin Cieadlo described the suspect as a college coach who has been tutoring the victim for about a year. The suspect worked all over, he added.

On Oct. 20, Monday, the victim met the suspect who drove her to his home. He convinced the teen to allow him to give her a massage. During the massage, police said he inappropriately touched the victim. She became uncomfortable and asked him to take her home.
