A Vermont couple faced the unimaginable just days before their 49th wedding anniversary.

On Sept. 14, 75-year-old Paul Anair had a cardiac emergency while he and his wife, Sue, were at their Danville home. Luckily, both Paul and Sue knew what to do, and their quick launch into action saved his life, as reported by the Caledonian Record .

A month later, Paul and Sue reunited with their ‘heroes’ at the Caledonia-Essex Area Services headquarters and expressed their gratitude to CALEX and the Danville Fire Department.
