WEST FARGO — West Fargo Sheyenne softball head coach Mark Woodbury is stepping down after leading the program since its inaugural season in 2017.

The school announced Woodbury's resignation in a news release Wednesday night.

“I couldn’t have been more honored to know coach Woodbury and have him be a part of my first few years at Sheyenne," school activities director James Moe said in the release. "His level-headedness, large heart for the students and the game, and the amount of respect he had for each and every one of the people he served is something that we can all aspire to have. We were blessed to have him lead our program and we wish him all the best as he enjoys his retirement. We will miss having him at our fields everyday."
