BOISE — Boise State wide receiver Ben Ford suffered a season-ending injury during Saturday’s game against UNLV.

Boise State coach Spencer Danielson announced the extent of the injury Wednesday during his final media availability before the Broncos (5-2, 3-0 Mountain West) take on Nevada (1-6, 0-3), but declined to disclose what it was other than calling it a lower leg injury.

“It breaks my heart for that young man,” Danielson said. “He’s a phenomenal kid, he’s a great football player for our team, has been through a lot of injuries, but he’s going to battle back and he’s going to be stronger than ever.”
