SEATTLE — Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell likes his chances in a surprisingly competitive reelection battle against challenger Katie Wilson, who scored a convincing primary win in August.
Wilson, the progressive founder of the Transit Riders Union, captured nearly 51% of the primary vote, while Harrell finished with 41%.

As the top two finishers, both candidates advanced to the general election.
"I feel pretty good. People have to remember this is my fifth election, it's not my first rodeo," Harrell told KING 5 on Tuesday, exactly two weeks before Election Day. "I have a city to run and there are some very challenging issues. It takes a lot of time, a lot of work, and a lot of experience."
