ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — RPD reports of multiple fights breaking out at East High School on Wednesday, leaving a staff member with an injury and the arrest of a 16-year-old student.
At around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, RPD went to East High School on East Main Street at the request of the detail officers, who reported multiple fights breaking out on campus. Officers and school security quickly dispersed the fights. One 16-year-old boy was taken into custody.
Through an investigation, it was learned that the fights started over a dispute, and one staff member tried to separate the two individuals involved, resulting in him injuring his hand.
RPD is investigating the circumstances that led up to the fights.
