Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) on Wednesday announced that she plans to sue former members of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) who were served during the Biden administration, including former special counsel Jack Smith, who the Senate Judiciary Committee recently revealed ordered the surveillance of Blackburn and other Republican senators in 2023, as part of his investigation into the 2020 election contest by President Donald Trump.
Blackburn announced her plan to file a lawsuit during an appearance on "Just the News, No Noise," telling host John Solomon that she was considering Smith, as well as the former FBI team that conducted the surveillance at his request, were likely defendants.
