BROOMFIELD — Eighteen years separated Legacy volleyball from its second and third league titles but on Tuesday night, in a clean sweep over Holy Family, the Lightning finished atop of the Granite Peaks League.
On Wednesday, they dotted the exclamation point with another sweep of 5A’s 15th-ranked Erie, as they themselves sat at No. 9 in the classification. With just one week left in the regular season, they’re chasing a regional hosting responsibility, an honor that is reserved for the top 12 teams.
Senior outside hitter Aislin Oldach, who entered the night with a team-high 305 kills and was ranked second in 5A in the category, said the chemistry on this year’s squad has been off the charts.
