Injury list long, but several CU Buffs on track to return to action soon

Once again, the Colorado Buffaloes have the longest injury report in the Big 12.

On Wednesday night, the initial “availability reports” for this weekend’s games were announced. CU lists 17 players as “out” for Saturday’s game at Utah (8:15 p.m., ESPN).

Overall, the Buffs have 27 players on the report, while Utah has three.

Around the Big 12, West Virginia has the second-longest list of players “out” for this week, at 10. Nobody else has more than eight.

Despite the long list, most of CU’s players listed as out aren’t surprises and the Buffs have several players who are on track to returning to action.
