The University of Michigan’s Central Student Government met Tuesday evening in the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning to discuss divestment and the Office of Student Conflict Resolution.

During the community concerns portion of the meeting, Ann Arbor resident Blaine Coleman advocated for a resolution demanding the University divest from companies profiting from Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.

“I think a big contribution to ending the Gaza genocide will be the boycott and divestment movements on the U.S. campuses, which have become very widespread,” Coleman said. “I hope you will do your part to try and bring that regime down before they massacre another few 100,000 people.”
