2GB Radio host Ben Fordham has ripped into the City of Sydney's move to continue to enforce outdoor pub drinking rules that were introduced during the pandemic.
When pubgoers returned to bars during the Covid-19 pandemic, they had to be seated at tables if they wished to drink alcohol outside.
NSW Premier Chris Minns scrapped these rules in 2024, allowing people to stand outside at pubs while having a drink, as patrons do in European cities like London and Paris.
However, Lord Mayor Clover Moore and her council have maintained their own rules, banning standing while drinking at some Sydney venues, leaving the 2GB host outraged.
