DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - One group in Duluth is celebrating 50 years of helping and protecting victims of sexual assault in the Twin Ports.
Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) works to eliminate sexual violence. The group has served more than 900 victims and survivors ages 13 and up.
Part of its mission is to support survivors, educate the community, and advocate for change, and it says community partnerships like Svalja Whole Being Healing Studio in Downtown Duluth are essential to it success.
“We’re so grateful to PAVSA for continuing to offer this phenomenal opportunity for survivors to take agency and autonomy back and to feel protected and safe in a space that they choose to be at every week,” said PAVSA Program Coordinator Miriam Rogotzke.
