PACIFIC BEACH (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The man accused of stabbing three security guards outside a popular Pacific Beach bar appeared in court Wednesday, as prosecutors revealed new details about the violent attack that left one victim seriously injured.
Dylan Chase, 24, pleaded not guilty to several charges, including attempted murder, in connection with the Sunday morning attack outside Mavericks Beach Club. Prosecutors said Chase, who appeared intoxicated, was removed from the bar around 12:10 a.m., then returned with an eight-inch hunting knife and stabbed three security guards.
One of the victims, Francisco “Franny” Garcia, remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
Prosecutors said the injuries to the victims include a ruptured spleen, a collapsed lung and perforated bowels.
