Who doesn’t love this time of year.

For those who love prep sports – ya know.

State tournament time has already begun or finished in certain sports and we‘re finally at the tail end of the 2025 high school football regular season. Week 9 takes place Friday and Saturday across the state of Michigan and Selection Sunday is right around the corner.

As we said, it’s a great time of year.

Now let’s talk prep football for a minute. There are many schools in our little corner of the world – that’s the Macomb County, Macomb Area Conference, Blue Water Area Conference, Catholic High School League and Charter School Conference – that already know they will make the cut, while there’s always a couple of schools around the state that are hoping for a Week 9 win, perhaps maybe some help from some n
