LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) —A Washington D.C. high school JROTC unit stepped in to provide color guard services for Honor Flight Southern Nevada veterans Saturday when the federal government shutdown left the Joint Service Color Guard unavailable.

The Dunbar High School JROTC, Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, filled in at the last minute so Southern Nevada Vietnam and Korean War veterans could receive the ceremony they deserved at the World War II Memorial in the nation’s capital.
