LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro police released new information Wednesday afternoon after a man was found shot to death in a home that was intentionally set on fire.

It happened Thursday at a home near Washington Avenue and Jones Boulevard . Firefighters were called around 3:30 a.m. for reports of smoke from the bedroom window.

Police say 43-year-old Deaon Crawford was found with gunshot wounds and burns. He died at the scene.

Investigators are giving more explanation for why the garage door of the home was broken. Police say through surveillance video, a car drove out of the garage without opening it before speeding away.
