A jury has returned mixed verdicts in the case of two former housemates accused of raping teenage girls , finding one man guilty and acquitting the other.
The ACT Supreme Court jurors deliberated for less than two days to before finding Josh Ryan Fenwick, 29, guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl at his Gungahlin home in September 2022.
They found Thiago Tonti Fanti, 48, not guilty of the same sexual intercourse without consent charge relating to another sixteen-year-old on the same night and in the same house.
After a trial lasting a week and a half, jurors were discharged on Thursday, October 23, when they could not reach verdicts on two further charges that had been laid against Fenwick.
