FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Quincy Williams returned to practice on Wednesday after spending four weeks on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury.
“It felt amazing,” the All-Pro linebacker told Newsday after practicing fully. “It felt like I got out of detention and got a chance to hang out with my homeboys at recess.”
Williams was only designated to return to practice and still needs to be activated from IR before he can play in any games. The Jets have three weeks to do that. But Williams suggested it won’t take that long and that he expects to play on Sunday against the Bengals.
“I ain’t coming, I’m here,” he said. “I ain’t coming, I’m here for real.”
