HOUGHTON — With wins in the first, third, and fourth sets, the Calumet Copper Kings volleyball team earned a 3-1 win over the Houghton Gremlins Tuesday night at the Houghton High School Gym. Calumet won the first set, 25-22, but the Gremlins responded with a 25-23 win in the second. Calumet won the third set, 25-22, and then the fourth, 25-19.

For Houghton, Lydia Williams led the offense with 11 kills, 14 assists, and three blocks. Ellie Hainault had eight kills and five blocks.

Emmy Pietila had 35 digs defensively. Katia Rudak added 19 digs and four aces.

Gladiators topple Panthers
