LUCKNOW/BAHRAICH: In a chilling incident in UP's Bahraich, a man allegedly killed his wife and buried her body beneath his bed and continued to sleep over it for 12 days. The accused husband Harikishan, 48, was arrested from Barabanki on Wednesday. The crime took place in Ahata Narpatpurwa village in Jarwal Road. Police said the victim, Phoola Devi, 45, had been missing since Oct 10. Harikishan, a daily wage worker and an alchoholic, initially claimed she had left for somewhere without informing him. However, Phoola's brother Ramdhiraj and sister-in-law grew suspicious. When they visited Harikishan's house on Sunday, they noticed a patch of freshly plastered mud beneath the bed and faint cracks on the surface. They alerted the police.
