Even though teams play fewer games than most sports (15 max), the grind of a football season is unrelenting. First practices are usually around Aug. 1. If you go all the way, you’re playing Thanksgiving weekend.
Four full months. Practicing almost every day, rain or shine. Warm or cold. Day or night ― sometimes both.
