French film star Brigitte Bardot has been forced to deny that she's died. ‌

The 91-year-old actress was rushed to hospital for surgery this month , reportedly following a "serious illness". Brigitte's representatives confirmed that she had minor surgery that went well and is now recovering at home in Saint Tropez, southern France. ‌

In a statement given to French news agency AFP, the star thanked staff and the surgical team at the Saint-Jean Private Hospital in Toulon. A spokesperson for Brigitte also
