Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will lead the Mahagathbandhan as its Chief Ministerial candidate in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot announced the decision during a joint press conference in Patna, confirming unanimous support from all alliance partners.

The Mahagathbandhan, also known as the INDIA bloc, includes RJD, Congress, and several left parties. Alongside Tejashwi, VIP chief Mukesh Sahani has been named as one of the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidates. The alliance also proposed multiple Deputy CMs to ensure representation across regions and communities.
