AUBURN — It's hard to see Auburn football turning it around this season.

Auburn 's latest loss, a double-overtime defeat against then-No. 16 Missouri, put the it below .500 and squandered a 3-0 start. It was Auburn's fourth consecutive loss, continuing a winless start to SEC play.

Now halfway through its league schedule, there's one point that provides some optimism. Auburn's first four SEC opponents, all ranked, were a combined 25-3 overall and 12-3 against the SEC.

The only other league team to face 25 wins' worth of SEC competition is South Carolina, and the Gamecocks have played five league contests, more than anyone. The only other league members to face teams with double-digit SEC wins combined are Alabama and Kentucky, at 10 each.
