MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. —
Authorities in Florida are investigating after a ring of thieves cut through the concrete roof of a mall, dropped into Champs Sporting Goods and stole hundreds of pairs of Nike shoes.
It happened between midnight and 8 a.m. at the Treasure Coast Mall in Martin County on Tuesday.
"The stolen merchandise was bagged, tagged, thrown off the roof, and loaded into a getaway vehicle," the Martin County Sheriff's Office said in a social media post.
The office's Criminal Investigations Division is actively working this case.
