Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (13) celebrates after scoring a touchdown during the first quarter against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on Sept. 15, 2025.

The Los Angeles Chargers have dropped three of their last four games after a 3-0 start to the 2025 NFL season. Can they get back on track in a "Thursday Night Football" battle with the Minnesota Vikings?

The Vikings (3-3) have alternated wins and losses to open the season while navigating inconsistency at quarterback. J.J. McCarthy struggled in his first two games replacing Sam Darnold as the team's starter before being forced out of the lineup with an ankle injury. That forced Carson Wentz into the lineup less than a month after he signed in Minnesota as a free agent.

While Minnesota's offense has been up-and-down because of the quarterback play, Brian Flores' defense has been one of the best in the NFL. The team ranks sixth league-wide in defensive EPA per play while getting strong production from Jonathan Allen, Jalen Redmond and Isaiah Rodgers.

The Vikings defense will provide a tough test for the Chargers offense, which has relied on Justin Herbert to carry it through seven weeks. He is leading the NFL with 271 passing attempts and 1,913 passing yards and ranks second on his team with 186 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles' stop unit has struggled over its last three games, allowing an average of 30.7 points per game. Jesse Minter will need his group to bow up against the run to ensure Jordan Mason isn't able to run wild over it.
