The big-budget Los Angeles Dodgers are Major League Baseball’s version of a super team but the Blue Jays match up with them a lot better than most people might think.

The everyday lineups for each of these two ball clubs are comparable. The Dodgers ranked second in the majors this season with 5.06 runs per game. Directly behind them were the Jays at 5.02.

There isn’t much separation on the pitching side either. The Dodgers have one of MLB’s best starting rotations and one of the weakest bullpens. Overall, their staff’s 3.95 ERA was slightly better than the Jays’ 4.19.
