As temperatures start to plummet at this time of year, many households face the dilemma of whether to maintain their heating on a low setting throughout the day or crank it up for shorter bursts. ‌

Industry specialists have described the matter as 'complicated' and stress that the answer largely depends on the type of boiler or heating system you've got installed. ‌
