As we enter the final weekend of October and the 2025 NFL division races are beginning to clarify, we have another full slate of action this weekend.
Though quite a few teams are on bye, there are several intriguing matchups in store for us in Week 8. Most notably, Aaron Rodgers is set to face his former team in primetime as the Pittsburgh Steelers play host to the Green Bay Packers in an interconference battle between division leaders.
The week begins with a matchup between the Chargers and Vikings on Thursday night, and on Monday Night Football, the Chiefs look to keep rolling as they play host to a Commanders team coming off a blowout loss at the hands of the Cowboys.
Also, we can't ignore the New York Jets' quest to earn their first win of the year as Aaron Glenn's 0-7 squad looks to take down Joe Flacco and a resurgent Cincinnati Bengals squad coming off an upset win over the Steelers.
Our experts are back to bring you their picks against the spread for those games and more as we look ahead to Week 8.
Name | Week 7 Record | 2025 Record |
Prince Grimes | 9-6 | 50-55-3 |
Charles Curtis | 9-6 | 50-55-3 |
Cory Woodroof | N/A | 36-39-3 |
Robert Zeglinski | 9-6 | 55-50-3 |
Christian D'Andrea | 9-6 | 52-53-3 |
Tyler Nettuno | 7-8 | 51-54-3 |
Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Chargers (Thursday Night Football)
Opening Line: Chargers -3
Grimes: Vikings +3.5
I think the Chargers win, but I don't trust them enough right now to lay more than a field goal.
Curtis: Chargers -3.5
I don't love whoever the Vikings are trotting out at QB in a short week.
Zeglinski: Chargers -3.5
So, uh, is J.J. McCarthy still hurt or is he ... just bad? Surely, the Chargers, famous for their great luck and poise in big games, won't blow an oportunity like this!
D'Andrea: Vikings +3.5
Two untrustable teams. Minnesota is getting a little bit of value in a place where the Chargers don't really have a homefield advantage.
Nettuno: Chargers -3.5
I don't really trust either team, but I trust the Vikings less.
Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons
Opening Line: Falcons -1.5
Grimes: Falcons -7
You know what the cure might be for a struggling Michael Penix Jr.? The Dolphins.
Curtis: Falcons -7
Yes, there are reasons to be concerned in Atlanta, but if there was a team to be MORE concerned about, it would be the hapless Miami Dolphins.
Zeglinski: Falcons -7
The Dolphins feel like they're on the verge of an all-out mutiny. Enter a 30-touch Bijan Robinson game.
D'Andrea: Falcons -7
Perfect time for that Michael Penix Jr. get-right game.
Nettuno: Falcons -7
It's a straight-up collapse in Miami.
Chicago Bears at Baltimore Ravens
Opening Line: Ravens -7
Grimes: Bears +6.5
While I do expect Baltimore to begin turning its season around out the break, I'm not sure you can lay this many points with a team that's been struggling as much as they've been.
Curtis: Bears +6.5
Hmmm. It sort of depends on Lamar Jackson's health, but even then, this MIGHT be too large of a spread for the Ravens' iffy defense.
Zeglinski: Bears +6.5
Does this line know that Lamar Jackson still might not play because of his hamstring injury? Because the Bears really should be favored without Lamar around.
D'Andrea: Ravens +6.5
I trust John Harbaugh to figure out at least a couple fixes over his bye.
Nettuno: Bears +6.5
*whispers* Even if Lamar Jackson plays, the Ravens were struggling before he got hurt.
Cleveland Browns at New England Patriots
Opening Line: Patriots -5.5
Grimes: Patriots -7
The Pats run defense should keep Quinshon Judkins in check enough for Drake Maye to cover this number.
Curtis: Patriots -7
I have gone back and forth here given the Browns defense, but the Pats are good enough to scratch out a win and a cover here.
Zeglinski: Patriots -7
Good lord, the Patriots have found themselves another MVP-caliber quarterback. We really let them get away with it. Sigh.
D'Andrea: Patriots -7
I mean, the Browns line will do bad things against the Pats blockers, but Drake Maye is used to that.
Nettuno: Patriots -7
New England should take care of business here.
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Opening Line: Eagles -10.5
Grimes: Giants +7.5
Listen, I reluncatly picked against my Giants winning straight up only because I suspect the Eagles will be fired up for payback. But I will not be surprised if Big Blue pulls off another upset.
Curtis: Giants +7.5
Jaxson Dart did THAT against the Broncos' nasty defense last week (don't look at the final score though, UGH IT STILL HURTS GAHHHHHH). So the Giants will definitely cover here.
Zeglinski: Eagles -7.5
I bet the Eagles still have a really bad taste in their mouth over that Thursday night beatdown from a few weeks ago. They'll show it.
D'Andrea: Giants +7.5
I know Philly has all sorts of revenge dreams. But the Giants are too good to be this bad.
Nettuno: Eagles -7.5
I have to think Philly is able to get some revenge here. Right?
San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans
Opening Line: 49ers -1.5
Grimes: 49ers +1.5
Houston hasn't done anything to earn points on the spread.
Curtis: 49ers +1.5
The Texans D is nice, but not loving what I see on offense. The Niners will win by a field goal.
Zeglinski: 49ers +1.5
At this point, I think Kyle Shanahan could start me at running back, a normal man in above-average-ish shape, and still score 30 points. OK, not true, I would get squashed like a bug. But you get the point.
D'Andrea: Texans -1.5
I don't know what either of these teams are.
Nettuno: 49ers +1.5
It's just hard to trust Houston with the offense in its current state.
Buffalo Bills at Carolina Panthers
Opening Line: Bills -7
Grimes: Bills -7.5
Bills coming out of a bye. I'll give them some earned respect here.
Curtis: Bills -7.5
Andy Dalton may do fine at QB, but the Bills are fresh off the bye and ready to put up points.
Zeglinski: Bills -7.5
Man, talk about a get-right game for Buffalo on a silver platter. Sound the alarms if the Bills can't get this win by double digits.
D'Andrea: Panthers +7.5
I dunno man, Carolina's feisty and the Bills let teams stick around.
Nettuno: Bills -7.5
Carolina has been competitive, but I'll take the Bills to cover this one barely.
New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals
Opening Line: Bengals -7.5
Grimes: Jets +6.5
The Jets are bad, but they've lost by more than a touchdown just once in the last five games and twice all season.
Curtis: Bengals -6.5
Oy, the Jets. They're so so so so sooooooooooo bad!
Zeglinski: Bengals -6.5
When defending Aaron Glenn by saying Justin Fields is terrible, Woody Johnson does know that Aaron Glenn hand-picked Justin Fields ... right? Right?
D'Andrea: Bengals -6.5
We're really gonna back into another Joe Flacco Comeback Player of the Year debate, aren't we?
Nettuno: Bengals -6.5
Joe Flacco is inevitable.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints
Opening Line: Buccaneers -5.5
Grimes: Bucs -4
Nice little bounceback spot for the Bucs.
Curtis: Buccaneers -4
I guess I could see Spencer Rattler covering in a divisional matchup, but this comes down to Baker Mayfield having himself a day.
Zeglinski: Buccaneers -4
The Mike Evans collarbone injury is devastating but Tampa Bay is still too good to let the lowly Saints get one over on it.
D'Andrea: Buccaneers -4
Tampa Bay is gonna be maaaaaaaad.
Nettuno: Bucs -4
Tampa Bay favored by just four against a bad team in a bounce-back spot? This may be the easiest pick I make all year.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
Opening Line: Colts -3.5
Grimes: Colts -14
The Colts are... best team in the NFL?
Curtis: Colts -14
Spread's too big? Even with the Titans' revising their offense for rookie Cam Ward? Nah.
Zeglinski: Colts -14
What a confounding Indianapolis team that is about to win 14 to 15 games. Football gods bless the Titans.
D'Andrea: Colts -14
Try explaining this line to someone moments after Indy signed Daniel Jones. You'd be burned for heresy.
Nettuno: Colts -14
God, this is so many points. The Titans are that bad, though.
Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos
Opening Line: Broncos -5.5
Grimes: Broncos -3
The Cowboys defense is still a problem.
Curtis: Broncos -3
Despite MVP Dak, I think Bo Nix puts together another great afternoon and the defense keeps the Cowboys relatively in check.
Zeglinski: Broncos -3
One of these days, the Broncos' offense will pull its weight for more than a quarter. I think a matchup against the Cowboys is a good opening for that.
D'Andrea: Broncos -3
This line suggests the Cowboys and Broncos are even on a neutral field. That is an untruthitude.
Nettuno: Cowboys +3
Dallas has its problems, but I'm so unimpressed with this Broncos team. I'll take the underdog here.
Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday Night Football)
Opening Line: Packers -2.5
Grimes: Steelers +3
Even with one loss, something isn't quite right with the Packers. Plus, last time I checked, they don't have Ja'Marr Chase.
Curtis: Packers -3
Aaron Rodgers will throw at least one completed pass to his former team.
Zeglinski: Steelers +3
The Steelers couldn't stop JOE FLACCO. Why would the young and spry Jordan Love be any different? Oh, right.
D'Andrea: Packers -3
I... guess?
Nettuno: Steelers +3
Screw it. Aaron Rodgers revenge game. I'm all in.
Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs (Monday Night Football)
Opening Line: Chiefs -3.5
Grimes: Chiefs -10.5
The Commanders are down bad.
Curtis: Chiefs -10.5
Assuming Jayden Daniels doesn't play, there's not mucht to love with Washington's offense this week.
Zeglinski: Chiefs -10.5
Jayden Daniels, among others, is hurt. And the Chiefs are hitting the kind of "we're going to the AFC title game again" stride that is sure to annoy every football fan who wants something interesting and different soon enough.
D'Andrea: Chiefs -10.5
Dammit, we let Kansas City get good again.
Nettuno: Chiefs -10.5
It's been a rough start to the year in the nation's capital.
