The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that a depression over the southeast Arabian Sea and a low-pressure area over south interior Karnataka and its neighbourhood are likely to influence weather conditions over peninsular India in the coming days.
According to IMD, formation of another low-pressure area over the southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal is likely around October 24.
Under these systems’ influence, isolated very heavy rainfall is likely over Kerala, Mahe, and coastal Karnataka on October 23 and 24, and over south interior Karnataka on Thursday.
