Next woman up.
No lineup in the history of N.J. girls cross-country has ever been as deep as the Vikings. On any given day, as many as 12 runners could step up and make an impact for Union Catholic at the varsity level. That’s why, even with three varsity runners resting during Wednesday’s county meet, there was never any doubt they’d come away with their fifth straight county title.
The only real question was how fast key substitutes like Abigail Robisky, Jia Jain and Saffa Ellis would tear up Warinanco Park’s quick course. The answer?
Pretty fast.
