ANN ARBOR — The Florida Atlantic connection was strong on last season’s Michigan squad. Head coach Dusty May brought a few of his assistants from there as well as star center Vladislav Goldin, who would lead Michigan in scoring. May also brought a recruit with him, and it’s a good thing he did. After helping Michigan win in March, he’s gearing up for a bigger role as a sophomore.
“The skills that he brings to the table, we don’t have an abundance of,” May said. “So we’re going to lean on him.”
The 6-foot-2 guard had a roller coaster freshman season. He saw significant minutes early and mostly fell out of the rotation in Big Ten play. Before the postseason, May expressed regret over not playing Cason more .
