Smriti Mandhana broke the world record for the most sixes hit in Women’s ODIs in a single calendar year during the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 against New Zealand at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.
The Indian opener smashed her 29th six in 2025 to surpass the previous record set by Lizelle Lee, who hit 28 sixes in 2017.
Following them are Deandra Dottin (2013), Chloe Tryon (2017), and Chamari Athapaththu (2023), each having hit 21 sixes in a year.
