British YouTuber Sam Pepper has admitted to injuring a child while celebrating Diwali in New Delhi. The 36-year-old, who was filming a fireworks battle with a group of locals, was captured on video shooting rockets from a distance.

During the exchange, one firework struck an eight-year-old girl, causing an injury. Footage circulating online shows locals confronting Pepper, telling him that the girl had lost an eye. He responded in disbelief, saying, “No it hasn’t!” and suggested that the severity of her injuries might have been exaggerated.
