The Telangana High Court Thursday directed the state to respond within four weeks on the implementation of a 2012 order from the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal following a writ petition filed by petitioners seeking enforcement of the long-settled ruling.

The court expressed strong concern and questioned the Government of Telangana regarding the continued delay in implementing a Tribunal order that the Supreme Court has upheld. The order’s finality was confirmed when the Telangana government’s challenge was dismissed, most recently on November 18, 2022, and earlier on July 11, 2016.
