CHEYENNE — Wyoming’s Class of 2025 test results showed increases in the percentage of public school students meeting the ACT College Readiness Benchmark.
This year, the percentage of Class of 2025 students meeting the benchmark increased by 2% in English Language Arts (ELA) and by 1% in Reading. However, average composite scores did not change over the previous year.
Wyoming is one of nine states that tests all students on the ACT, as opposed to the SAT, ranking second behind Nebraska among those nine, according to a news release from the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE).
Of the 6,840 students who tested in the state, 15% met one ACT College Readiness Benchmark, 14% met two benchmarks, and 28% met three or four benchmarks.
