12-year-old Peyton Outlaw is a seventh grader at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy and following this incident, Outlaw is now healing from multiple stitches and a swollen lip.

In addition, the mother says her son will need additional dental work done on another tooth that was hurt during this incident.

Bennett says that neither she nor any of her Child's emergency contacts were notified by the school about what took place. She says she was made aware by the parent of another student.

The school also released a statement stating:

“Following an initial investigation, the staff member has been terminated. We continue to fully cooperate with the Philadelphia Police Department and the authorities to ensure transparency and accountability at every step.”
