Brooklyn Park police say a 10-year-old boy reported missing on Wednesday evening has been located safe.

In an update posted just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police said that “thanks to an alert member of the public, the missing child was located safe and unharmed. He has been returned to his family.”

Brooklyn Park police had issued an alert late Wednesday asking for the help in locating the child, who had been last seen at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the area of Hamilton Park.
