In view of the festive season, the North Western Railway (NWR) has announced extensive preparations to handle the rush. The division plans to operate around 1,000 special train trips, which will include services within the NWR zone, trains traveling outside the region, and those passing through adjacent zones. Ahead of the Chhath festivities, in addition to regular train services, 1,500 special trains will be run over the next five days, with an average of 300 specials per day, stated press release by the Ministry of Railways on Wednesday.
