Indian warship INS Trikand carried out a rescue mission on board a Cameroon-flagged commercial carrier off the coast of Djibouti after the vessel caught fire, in which two crew members were killed.

Djibouti: Indian Navy warship INS Trikand carried out a critical firefighting and rescue operation on a Cameroon-flagged commercial vessel, MT Falcon, which caught fire off the coast of Djibouti. The incident tragically resulted in the deaths of two crew members, while 24 others including one British and 23 Indian nationals were rescued by nearby merchant ships.

Deployed in the Gulf of Aden for maritime security operations
