BEE CAVE, Texas — People living in Bee Cave have a big decision on the November ballot. They will decide whether to give their current public library more room to grow.

Two propositions are on the ballot relating to the building and financing of a new library structure.

The Bee Cave Public Library is small but mighty, providing content and programming for every age group. But library leaders say it’s bursting at the seams.

Library director Barbara Hathaway says the institution has been making it work by hosting storytime and summer reading programs in the community rooms upstairs at Bee Cave's City Hall. But that space is shared with other departments, which means sometimes the library gets bumped.

During early voting, for example, storytime is canceled for weeks at a time.
