LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that 39 cities and villages across Michigan with populations under 10,000 will receive road funding grants through the Community Service Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) Category B program.

The CSIF is a stop-gap program designed to help small communities fund critical road projects.

Grants range from $50,000 to $250,000 and will support work such as road resurfacing, culvert replacement, pavement crack sealing, and other preventive maintenance measures.

Mid-Michigan grant recipients include:

Eaton County

Village of Mulliken – $250,000

Village of Dimondale – $75,809

City of Eaton Rapids – $250,000

Ingham County

Village of Stockbridge – $103,650

Jackson County

Village of Brooklyn – $250,000
