A funeral for KISS guitarist Ace Frehley was held on Wednesday at a cemetery in his childhood neighborhood in the Bronx, New York, while a memorial service was held a day earlier in Yonkers.

Ace’s fellow KISS co-founders Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss were in attendance at the private memorial service, according to SiriusXM radio personality and Ace’s longtime friend Eddie Trunk.

In an Instagram post, Trunk said that he also received the blessing of Frehley’s family to pursue a future tribute show celebrating the late guitarist:

“Ace Frehley has now been laid to rest in Bronx NY. It has been an emotional couple of days to say the least saying farewell to a rock icon and long time friend. All of the services went as well as they could and were attended by a small group
